Reports say officers arrived as early as 4 am Thursday at the residence of the former managing director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) who’s to appear today before the house of representatives over the ongoing NDDC investigation.
Security agents have allegedly gained entry into her residence via the back door of her house – at 3 Owuru Creek View, off Herbert Macaulay Street, Old GRA, Port Harcourt – and the Rivers State Governor is on his way to meet them, according to reports.
But the Police Public Relations Officer, Rivers State Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, said he was not aware of any police siege at Numieh’s home.
Meanwhile, a former aide to Nunieh, said the police officers claimed they were from “Mopol 19".
Police said there was no siege at her residence
