Following President Muhammadu Buhari planned visit to the Imo state, The Nigeria Police force has issued a warning to the mischief-makers to stay away from the state.
The Imo State police public relations officer, Mr. Mike Abattam in a telephone interview on Wednesday 8th September 2021, warned that the security agencies would be on the ground to deal with troublemakers during President Muhammadu Buhari's visit to the state on Thursday.
In his statement, he said the security arrangements are perfect and massive, the security agencies are prepared to protect the lives and properties of the state during the president's visit. He also revealed that they had informed the mischief-makers to vacate Imo state during President Muhammadu Buhari's visit because they will deal with anybody that disturb the peace of the state. Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that Owerri is in total lockdown in compliance with the sit-at-home order following the directive of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
