Following several criticisms over president Muhammadu Buhari's medical trip to London, The Nigerian leader who is currently abroad has finally revealed that he is taking a short rest in London. According to the President's Special Assistance on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, the president said this in a letter he wrote to the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, King Abdullah ll Bin Al-Hussein,
President Buhari also prayed for peace in the Royal family of Jordan stating that he is glad that issues in the Royal family has been resolved. The statement read in part ‘’While here in London taking a short rest, I was planning disturbed to read from international news agencies of attempts to destabilise the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan", “Your exemplary leadership since ascending the throne has attracted worldwide admiration.'' The president further expressed thanked King Abdullah ll Bin Al-Hussei for the role he played on the excellent relationship between Nigeria and Jordan.
