EXCLUSIVE: David Mark’s Daughter In The National Assembly Set To Join APC This Saturday

The House of Representatives member representing Otukpo/Ohimini, Chief Hon Blessing Onu (Née Mark) is set to decamp to the All Progressive Congress (APC), this Saturday December 12, in an event that will be witnessed by Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon Olufemi Hakeem Gbajabiamila.

This was contained in a statement released by Rt Comrade John Acha Director, Media/Publicity for Amb. Angbo Kennedy Agbogo Campaign Organization for Otukpo/Akpa 2023. The statement welcome Blessing who it described as the “Amazon of Benue politics” to the APC and also hailed Gbajabiamila coming to the Ancient City of Otukpo. 

The latter part of the statement read: “On behalf of our Principal and Aspirant House of Assembly Otukpo/Akpa State Constituency, we say a big welcome to you all.”

Blessing, who is the daughter of former Senate President David Mark,  and wife of former Local Government chairman of Otukpo, Innocent Onuh, will be leaving the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), where she defeated her uncle and PDP candidate to win the seat.

She was initially with her father in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but dumped the party after refusing to step aside for her uncle, Johnson Egli Ahubi, and subsequently, scored no vote in primaries.

Blessing Onuh further moved to APGA and secured the National Assembly seat she craved for.
