EDO 2020: The Reason Why APC Should Be Wary Of Ojezua, The Factional Chairman Of The Party (OPINION)

The final publishing of the list of eligible candidates to participate in Edo State governorship election forthcoming by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC few days ago, marks the second stage for all out political battle in the state.

The incumbent Governor of the Mr, Godwin Obaseki of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, will slug it out with 12 other political parties candidates at the 18 local government areas of the state on 19th September 2020.

In the same vein, In calling on the Edo State APC campaign team to be wary of Barr. Anselm Ojezua, factional chairman of the APC in the state and his likes.

Athough Governor Obaseki, who happens to be Ojezua's master has since defected to the PDP where he has emerged the governorship candidate of his new party.

If we could remember, Ojezua who is heading the APC faction loyal to the governor had refused to join Gov. Obaseki in PDP, for the the reason best known to them.

As expected by many people after the defection of Mr. Obaseki to PDP, the factional chairman of Edo APC Anslem Ojezua to join him, but he refused and choose to remain in the APC.

There were reports that even though Ojezua and his excos remained in the APC, they will work against the interest of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the party’s candidate in the election.

However, it appears Ozejua's mission, as I observed is to stay back and destroy APC. If can remember Ojezua's faction is the one whoh lead the suspension of the sacked national chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomole.

But when asked to comment on the APC and his status in the party, he said "I'm not granting any interview till after the election. We will talk after the election is over”.
