He was born in 1960, at Iyara in Ojumu Local government area of Kogi State. He was elected senator for the Kogi West constituency in April 2007, during his tenure, he was appointed as Vice chairman of the Northern Senators forum. In 2019, he was re-elected as senator for the third time defeating Senator Dino Melaye in a supplementary election ordered by the country apex court, winning with a margin of 20,000 votes.

Edward Onoja

Onoja born 9th of August, 1974 hails from Odidiko Emonyoku in Ogugu district Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State, he was the chief of staff to the governor Yahaya Bello between 2015-2019 of Kogi State before he became deputy governor. A banker turned politician

James Faleke

Faleke a 2015 APC governorship candidate and member representing Ikeja federal constituency in the house of representatives hails from Ekirin Adde, Ijumu local government area started his political career in 2003 as the pioneer executive secretary of Ojodu LCDA in Lagos State.
