In a live interview being aired by TVC News, the Former Governor of Ogun State, Olusegun Osoba has faulted the conduct of the 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has he said that the National Chairman of the Commission, Prof Mahmood Yakubu has not handled his office well due to his failure to brief Nigerians on why the election results were not transmitted to INEC's portal from the polling unit as contained in the Electoral Act.
Speaking further, Olusegun Osoba said he made some findings and discovered that there were attempts to hack into INEC's server, and that this could be why INEC Chairman refused to upload the results. Olusegun Osoba said as soon as he discovered that, he should have told the whole world that he won't be transmitting the results into their server, instead of going ahead to conduct the election without keeping to the promise made by the commission before the election.
He said Professor Yakubu should have been straightforward and honest by telling the world that they are facing challenges with the use of IReV to transmit election results electronically.
