Kwara PDP Recorded Success In Wards Congress.

The wards congress exercise held in Kwara State by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, across the 193 wards of the state recorded a high turnout of party members.

The Congress was conducted on consensus arrangement and Executives of the party at ward level have been elected. The exercise was peaceful across the 193 electoral wards, in the state.

The State Party Chairman, Engr. Kola Shittu, attributes the exercise as peaceful and heartwarming.

He disclosed that, disagreements were resolved before the exercise, which eventually made the congress a success throughout the state.

The spokesperson of the party in the State, Tunde Ashaolu, commended party members for the successful conduct during the congress.

Ashaolu said, PDP welcome the choices made by delegates during the ward congresses. The party respect due process and it is committed to internal democracy.

Ashaolu added that, the party is making efforts to strengthen the support base at the grassroots, and also build a formidable party that is ready to take over power from the clueless All Progressives Congress administration.

The party appreciated the leaders, elders and relevant stakeholders within the party, especially Dr Bukola Saraki, for their contributions towards the successful conduct of the ward congresses.
