The National Secretary of the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator John James Akpan Udoedehe sent a team who paid a visit to the internally displaced people from Essien Udim local government area early this week and presented some relief materials to the people at their IDP Camps.
The Senator who was represented by his media team led by Comrade Ima Obong Uboh sympathized with the people who were affected by the crises in Essien Udim and prayed that the crises would soon get to itd end for the people to return to their homes.
Ima Obong Uboh, while addressing the Displaced People said that the team has obtained full permission from the executive chairman of Essien Udim Local Government Area wand the Catholic Bishop of Ikot Ekpene Diocese before arriving the IDP camp.
Speaking on behalf of her master, Miss Ima Obong said that as a person, the Senator is equally affected by the predicament of the people of Essien Udim. She assured the Senator's continuous contribution to the people's wellbeing while in the displaced camp.
The relief materials presented to the people include bags of rice, bags of beans, bags of garri, cartons of indomie among other things.
The people who were excited be the Senator's kind gesture prayed God bless the Senator in abundance.
