Ohanaeze Poll: Oru East Boss Wishes Ambassador Obiozor Good Luck

The Interim Management Committee Chairman of Oru East Local Government Area, Nze (Hon) Nyerere Ogbonna, has wished Amb (Prof) George Obiozor success for the upcoming Ohanaeze Ndigbo general elections.

He expressed this goodwill while on a supervision of Onueke-Umudike-Otulu Road rehabilitation in Amiri, describing the professor as "eminently qualified and fit to run the affairs of the Ohaneze Ndigbo."

According to him, Amb (Prof) George Obiozor is the most credible candidate among others. He further described the former Nigeria's ambassador to Israel, Cyrus and the US as a gentle diplomat whose expertise and international influence are urgently needed to unify the Igbos towards the growth and development of their nation.

Nze (Hon) Nyerere Ogbonna also stated that Ambassor Obiozor has been tried, tested and trusted within and outside the country, noting the professor would justify his suitability with a clear victory at the polls.

"Professor George Obiozor knows what is at stake in Igboland. He understands the true position of the Igbo race since the civil war. No doubt, he is eminently qualified and prepared to lobby for the development of  the zone. He will reconcile all dissenting minds towards a better Igbo community. That is why our governor Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma is backing him for the post. For him to emerge as a consensus candidate for Imo state shows that he is a good and capable leader. With all supports across the Igboland, I have no fear that he will emerge victoriously as President General," the Oru East boss stated.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo general elections are expected to take place on Sunday 10th January, 2021.
