The Senate rose from an executive meeting two hours yesterday, ordered his leadership to meet with President Mohammadu Buhari, and expressed disappointment that the executive insisted on continuing the public works program.

The resolution came when the federal government announced on Tuesday that commissions across the country would begin implementing the program.

The news men said lawmakers were humiliated that the executive had failed to follow instructions to suspend the program when the ministry informed the National Assembly about the requirements to involve 774,000 people in public work according to their constitutional role for surveillance.

Therefore, Senate President Ahmed Lawal announced a closed session ahead of the plenary session on Tuesday.

Although lawmakers continued to deal with this issue after the meeting, The newsmen said they were unhappy, but decided to stay low to avoid further insults.

The face was repeated when the Senate behaved like an executive and issued an order a day after lawmakers openly spit on ministers.

A week later, after an executive session, the Senate discussed the previous conflict between the Joint Working Committee of the National Assembly and State Secretary Festus Keyamo, where the legislature expressed anger at what he called executive uncertainty.

Therefore the Senate announced that the two chambers of the National Assembly had ordered the implementation of 774,000 public works programs to be postponed until the National Assembly was properly informed.

The National Assembly said that President Muhammadu Buhari could go to court if he believed that his executive power had been seized or violated.
