Channels Television reports that not less than five people have been killed and nine houses burnt as gunmen launched fresh attacks on Madamai community in Kaduna State. The village is located in Kaura Local Government Area of the state.
Reacting to the attack, distinguished Senator Shehu Sani condemned the deeds of the perpetrators and urged people to speak out against such evil. He added that the government should take necessary steps to save his people from the murderers.
"The brutal murder of five people, the injury of seventeen others and the burning down of houses by terrorists who invaded the Madamai community, Kaura LG in Southern Kaduna, in the early hours of today stands condemned. We must not be tired of speaking out against this evil and demanding that the government must save our people from this mindless murderers", Shehu Sani wrote on his official Facebook page.
According to reports, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Hadiza Balarabe, also condemned the attacks and sent condolence messages to the families that were affected. Security operatives have been instructed to investigate the incident.
