One of the greatest first ladies that Nigeria has ever had is Patience Ebele Jonathan, the wife to the former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Patience was known for her care to Nigerians, especially her goodwill and passion towards the welfare of young children.
One of the things Patience did during her reign as the first lady was the annual gifts she gave to new mothers on New year, her good gesture made many Nigerians love her and to date, she's still been referred to as one of the greatest women to ever mount the sit of the wife of a President in Nigeria.
Patience was a mother who showed a burning desire towards the kidnap of Chibok schoolgirls in 2014, there were times she pleaded with the kidnappers to return the girls with tears in her eyes. She was always clamouring for the return of the schoolgirls and she did her best to comfort the parents who lost their children to the kidnap. Her deficiency in spoken English is a beauty that makes her unique amongst her clique. Patience made a lot of people happy with the way she tables matters on national tv and I am very sure that a lot of Nigerians miss her.
Since her husband left the presidential sit, she has remained silent about national matters, but her name remains in the heart and mind of patriotic Nigerians who understand the way she took the country with great passion during her time as the first lady of Nigeria. She was also a humble woman. Patience didn't live a flamboyant life and she was not involved in one controversial discussion or the other.
Undoubtedly, she is a great partner to her husband and they are both unique. She lived like a real queen during her reign and she used her power to support the administration of her husband, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Nigerians won't forget her and I know her legacies will continue to live.
