Presidential Election: Two People Sustain Gunshot Wounds In Ghana After Shooting

Two people have sustained gunshot wounds near the 'Steps to Christ' polling unit in Kasoa at the Awutu Senya East constituency after some men in a black SUV fired at them.

Ghana Police service have confirmed the report and tweeted saying; "At Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Constituency however, Police is on chase for occupants of a black 4×4 SUV who shot occupants of a silver coloured Kia private salon car with registration No GW 2375-20...

"They've rushed thee occupants who injured to the hospital and they are responding to treatment."

"Police are investigating any allegation of impropriety so far receive."

What led to the shooting incident is not yet clear.

One of the victims, who is a party agent for the NDC said, he was in a vehicle returning from the centre with two other people when they met some individuals in a Toyota Landcruiser and questioned them about their whereabouts

Then the group opened fire on them, wounding two of them in the process.
