Before I state and comment on some of the allegations which Abubakar Malami said they gave him psychological trauma, let me say that if those allegations are perhaps true at the end of the day, president Muhammadu Buhari should not hesitate to suspend him from office as Attorney General of Federation.
The question about Malami's properties is a very big one. In an article by Sahara Reporters, Malami is said to have mansions that are worth millions of US Dollars in different states in Nigeria and abroad. Neglecting this fact, his children live large and spend lavishly despite no known job. Malami's children as reported, have high tastes for life and they ride luxurious cars.
In the journey to Malami's questionable life, I cannot forget to remember the just concluded wedding of one of his sons in Kano. At the wedding which lasted for about 5 days, news reports had it that money fell like rain. A lot was squandered at the party. Adding to that, a multi million naira commercial hub built by Malami was commissioned by his friends for the bridegroom.
Also, there is an allegation that Malami purportedly bought a 300 million naira mansion for his son though he denied this arguable truth. What is more hurting is that he used his office official letter head to write his son's wedding invites.
It however interesting to note that it didn't end there. On the release of Magi from detention, He accused Malami of interference with the EFCC businesses. He maintained that Malami always ensured that he has a hand in a every corrupt cases that is being handled by the EFCC in order to satisfy his selfish interests.
Dear reader, this is my submission. It is simple and practicable under the law: that if all allegations against Abubakar Malami are true, president Muhammadu Buhari should as a matter of urgency suspend him as Attorney General of Federation. He does not fit in there. That office is not his place.
