Member of the APC Presidential Media Campaign Council, Biodun Ajiboye, said that if they say APC won the presidential election because of lapses in INEC, what stops other parties from doing so?
Biodun Ajiboye made the statement in an interview with Arise News when he was asked to react to what some people are saying that APC took the advantage of some lapses on the part of INEC and therefore won the election.
Biodun Ajiboye reacted,
"If our party (APC) won because of lapses on the part of INEC, what stops the other parties from winning because of the same lapses."
Ajiboye asked that is it that other political parties do not see the lapses and it is only them that saw the lapses.
"These are just excuses, we have gone too far in this democratic journey for us to listen to trivial excuses. Listen, I have told you a very simple calculus to know the election is fair."
"We lost Katsina to them, we lost Lagos to them, we lost Nasarawa where our Party chairman came from to them, we lost Jos where Director General of our campaign comes from.."
He then said that if INEC says they have infrastructural problems, don't Nigeria have infrastructural problems.
"You want INEC to transmit when there is no network or when there is threat of hacking, how reasonable with that has been that INEC will come back and say, the server was hacked...and they will go back to another 305 billion. Is that what they are saying."
