The INEC chairman's declaration of Tinubu as the incoming president is no longer shocking. He has already been elected, despite the fact that certain candidates from rival parties do not recognize his victory.

In a recent interview, the president-elect stated that INEC has discretion over the transmission of election results per Section 60, Subsection 2 of the Act. The transmission of findings is not mandated by the act, Tinubu added.
Tinubu, the newly elected president, has issued a message to the press. He said, "Anyway, the procedure of transmitting results from polling stations, whether in real-time or not, cannot in any way change the results that have been reported." Tinubu is arguing that since he has already been declared the victor and president-elect, the results can no longer be altered.

Those who aren't rooting for Tinubu's win are probably those he has in mind. Feel free to express your thoughts in the comments area.
