Tietie Blasts Matawalle For Asking Why EFCC Is Coming After Only Him And Not Ministers Or Directors
By Lighthousemedia (self media writer) | 2 days ago
A Political Analyst, Frank Tietie, has blasted the governor of Zamfara State, BelloMatawalle, for not providing concrete evidence after saying that the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission asked him to give him $2 million bribe.
Speaking further, Frank Tietie expressed his displeasure that after Bello Matawalle was accused of embezzling N70 billion, all he could say in his defense was that he started asking why the EFCC is coming after only him and not Ministers and Directors.
Frank Tietie stated that Bello Matawalle's statement is not relevant because the EFCC has the right to investigate and prosecute anyone who they suspect to have embezzled public funds and it does not matter is the person is a governor or not.
Frank Tietie was of the opinion that the decision of the EFCC to tackle suspected corrupt governors does not mean that the EFCC will not go after federal government's cabinet members or Directors of Ministries.
