Nigerian Lady Who Went To Lebanon To Work As Maid Cries Out To Nigerians For Help To Return Back

A heart-breaking video of a Nigerian woman who travelled out of Nigeria to work as housemaid in Lebanon has surfaced the internet as the woman cries out for help. The woman couldn’t control her tears as she narrates what she has been going through in the country (Lebanon) since she got there about a year and 3 months ago. She said she was just looking for better life but she did not imagine it could turn out this way.

When she was in Nigeria, the lady says that she found out that she had a cataract on her left eye that was blurring her vision and she needed to undergo surgery to remove the clouded lens. She said she could not get the money needed for the operation in Nigeria, so she decided to go to Lebanon to work as a maid in order to get money for her surgery.

She said that she has been working as a Housemaid for many months in Lebanon but her earning is too low. For over 1 year that she has been working, she said she hasn’t raised enough money to go for her surgery. She said that the cataract is now expanding to her other eye and the people that she is working for do not show any concern at all.

‘If someone dies here, they will just throw the corpse in a dustbin and forget about the person. When I fainted at work last month, they only took me to a pharmacy and gave me injection. They do not care whether someone dies or not. I was just looking for a better life, I do not know it would be as worse like this. I have been working here for over a year and 3 months yet, there is no good food. Please, help me get back to Nigeria, I am in Lebanon’- the woman cries for help.

She added that her boss told her that she is free to return back to Nigeria but she would not give her the money for ticket. She said that she does not have the ticket money and she is dying. She said she can no longer see clearly with her eyes and it is now expanding to the other eye. ‘I do not want to die in this country’- she cries out.
