Andy Uba has won the APC's primary election for governor of Anambra.

In Anambra State, the All Progressives Congress has nominated Andy Uba, a former senator representing Anambra South, to be its governorship candidate.

Dapo Abiodun, the governor of Ogun State and the chairman of the APC primary election committee, made the announcement on behalf of the party.

On Sunday, Uba received 230,201 votes out of 348,490 total votes cast at the Golden Tulip Hoel, putting her in the running for the November 6 election.

Johnbosco Onunkwo came in second place with a total of 28, 746 votes.

Others are Chidozie Nwankwo (2,811), George Moghalu (18,596), Paul Orajiaka (4,348), Geoff Onyejeagbu (3,414), Azuka Okwuosa (17,189 Nwokafor), Paul Orajiaka (4,348), Geoff Onyejeagbu (3,414), Azuka Okwuosa (17,189 Nwokafor), Chidozie N Daniel received 3, 335 points, Ikoobasi Mokelu received 3, 727 points, Kwebuike Ifeanyi received 1, 466 points, Godwin Okonkwo received 5, 907 points, Ben Etiaba received 4, 244 points, Edozie Madu received 3, 636 points, and Maxwell Okoye received 2,540 points.
