Nigerian senators has said that the cause of the protest which was held Nation wide was as a result of joblessness in the country. They restated that Nigerians, most likely the youths are very angry with them the leader because, there was no job creation in Nigeria.
Recall, in October there was a huge protest Nationwide which resulted to the destruction of private and public properties after many protesters were allegedly killed in various part of the country, most especially Lekki toll gate, Lagos State which has been the major topic trending both in local and international mainstream media. The protest was said to be all about compelling the government of Nigeria to put an end to police brutality, bad governance and corruption.
On November 24th, the Senators eventually raised motions on the reason for the unforgettable incident that took place on October 2020.
Names of Senators who actually presented the motions are as follows:
*** Senator Gershom Bassey (Cross River South - PDP)
*** Senator Christopher Ekpenyong (Akwa Ibom North West - PDP)
*** Senator Ike Ekweremadu (Enugu West - PDP)
*** Senator Sani Musa (Niger East - APC)
While deliberating on the motions, these Senators came to the conclusion that the government need to create job opportunities for the youths and have them doing something. Like establishing of industries.
