On Thursday, February 9, 2017, President Buhari was on a 10-day vacation in London after he had written to the senate to extend his stay due to health challenges. In one of those moments, prominent Nigerian personalities such as politicians, clerics, traditional rulers had paid him a goodwill visit.

Recall that Buhari had visited London for medical treatment to what the presidency described as a persistent inner ear infection, which caused him to pull out of several scheduled engagements.
This was why the All Progressives Congress Chieftain Bola Tinubu, and the former Governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande had traveled from Nigeria to the United Kingdom to see the President.
However, Buhari’s latest visit to the UK on July 26 was reported to have been billed to participate in the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education (GPE) 2021-2025 and, to see his medical team.

Meanwhile, by the second week of August 2021, when the President is expected to return to the country, he would have spent about 200 days in the UK on official medical trips since he assumed office on May 29, 2015.
As Nigerians look forward to seeing him return on Friday, August 13, it is important to note that the President had visited the National APC leader, Bola Tinubu, who is recuperating after a second surgery in the UK.
