Herdsmen Crisis Is Being Exaggerated By Southern Governors to Get More Security Votes, Miyetti Allah

The National Secretary, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Saleh Alhassan, has accused Southern governors of exaggerating the herdsmen crisis in their region so as to get more security votes.

Southern leaders have accused herdsmen of kidnapping and killings, in addition to the destruction of their farms. This gave birth to the anti-open grazing law that is being established in the region.

Alhassan said the noise made by the southern governors is targeted at scoring cheap political points.

“They are just hiding under this Anti-open Grazing Law probably because they want to score a political point.” He said

According to him, the governors do not want to be accountable for funds, saying that it is the reason why they have made a big issue of the headsmen crisis.

He added also that herdsmen are found in the forests and no farm is located in the forest, noting that some claims by southern governs are not true.
