2023 presidential race : Obasanjo extends support for Bello

Son of former president, Olojunwo Obasanjo has thrown his support behind the Governor of Kogi state Yahaya Bello to contest for the presidential election to be held in 2023.

Obasanjo praised Yahaya Bello's effort as Governor of Kogi state while urging the 45 year old to run for the office of the president in the upcoming election slated for 2023.


Nobody can bring down this government- Garba Shehu

Special assistant to the office of the president, Garba Shehu has said nobody can bring down the current ruling government.

The Northerner stated this while in an interview with Channels TV as he sent out a stern warning all those opposing the ruling party in the country with the 62 year old retraiting the fact that the APC was elected democratically by the people and at such is untouchable.


Court has vindicated Akapbio - Spokesman

Spokesman to the Minister of the Niger Delta affairs Godswill Akapbio has revealed his delight as the high court in the Abia state, Ikot Ekpene sentenced a professor in the University of Calabar for electoral result manipulation.

The professor of Soil Science, Peter Ogban was sentenced to three years in prison on the count of manipulating the results of the Akwa Ibom North-west senatorial election which was held in 2019.

That news has now delighted the Spokesman of Senator Godswill Akpabio who has said the court's ruling has vindicated the former Governor of the Niger delta state.


Two Police officer rejects N1 million bribe, arrests defaulter

Two police officers Inspector Garba Saleh and Jamilu Alkasim of the department of operations, Kano state police command both diligently refused a N1 million naira bribe from a dealer of expired goods to set him and his goods free.

The dutiful police officers were said to have rejected the huge offer from the dealer while simultaneously arresting the defaulters at his warehouse.. Subsequently, the commissioner of Police in Kano state, Sulmaila Dikko rewarded Saleh and Alkasim with the sum of N1 million naira for their diligence.


Power should shift to South - Zulum

Governor of Borno state Babgana Zulum has revealed that there is an mutual agreement between the All progressive congres party that the presidential ticket for the 2023 elections should be zoned to the South.

The Northern Governor disclosed this on Thursday morning where he stated that the power should not be segmented to just one region but should be rotated equally amongst all regions in the country.
