Video: Dino Melaye Says - "States Are In Serious Trouble, As NNPC Is Broke".

Everyday we wake up, it's to something unpleasant about the situation of Nigeria. The things we read and hear about in the media, concerning the state of the nation, is such that would make one start thinking if we would ever come out of the challenges facing us, as a people. The level of insecurity in Nigeria, is such a terrible one that gets you thinking and worried about how well this nation is faring.

Nigeria is like a child that has been crawling for many years and has refused to stand up to her responsibilities and challenges. We have a crop of leaders who neither care about what would happen to the future of this country, the only thing they're after and care about is how they will continue to amass wealth for themselves and their generations unborn.

In a trending video I stumbled on today April 29,2021 is that of a former Senator, Dino Melaye. He's one politician despite his shortcomings, have been speaking against the ills of this present government. How they have depleted the resources of this nation, without the people seeing any result. He decided to speak about the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), on the information he stumbled concerning the allocation, that usually goes to the states to aid and facilitate the payment of civil servants, working in the government.

He alleged that he stumbled on a letter written by NNPC and signed by the Chief Accountant Officer Hajia Umah Isa, intimating the Accountant General of the Federal, that there would be zero contribution from NNPC, to the National purse in the months of May, June and July 2021. He said the implication is that the revenue for these next three months, will only come from the Customs and the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

As we all know that, the bulk of the allocation usually comes from the NNPC but that wouldn't be happening. The very reason for this, is the increments in the landing cost charges, that changed all of a sudden from N124 to now N184. The implication is that government would not be able to pay salaries, survive and this is a major catastrophe he said.

He said all these is happening because of, ineptitudes in leadership of this nation. He so this is the time, for Nigerians to know so that we can act. That we are in precarious situation and perilous times, but God only is the one we can run to.
