Without doubt, there is a likelihood that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) will zone it's 2023 Presidential Ticket to South, This arose from the outcome of a Meeting held by the PDP Governors Forum in Abuja on Wednesday Night.
The Meeting which was held at the Akwa-ibom State Governors Lodge had in Attendance Thirteen PDP Governors, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State who is also the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum presided over the Meeting.
Nine out of Twelve Governors voted in favour of the North to produce the Next PDP National Chairman. While Three others including Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Darius Ishaku (Taraba) and Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa) voted for Chairmanship to be zoned to the South. While the Forum's Chairman, Governor Aminu Tambuwal did not participate in the voting Process.
It will be recalled that Tambuwal and his counterpart from Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed have been reportedly nursing a 2023 Presidential Ambition. Tambuwal has previously contested in 2018, But lost the PDP Presidential Ticket to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The recent development is a beacon of hope that the Party 'll zone it's 2023 Presidential Ticket to the South.
