Less than 48hours to the Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency Election, The Lawmaker Representing Abia North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu on Thursday stormed the Ariara International Market, Aba to seek support for his Younger Brother and the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu.
The bye-election slated for Saturday, March 27, 2021 is to fill the vacant seat for Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency of Abia State. The Seat became vacant following the Demise of Hon. Ossy Prestige who represented the Consistuency until February 9, 2021. The APC Candidate, Mascot Kalu is a Successful Banker and International Business Mogul. Others in the Race include, Chimaobi Ebisike of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Hon. Destiny Nwagwu of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Senator Kalu was well-received by a mammoth crowd of Businessmen, Traders and Artisans in Ariara International Market, Aba who welcomed him and other APC leaders who accompanied him on the visit.
While addressing the mammoth crowd, Kalu stated that APC's Popularity, Acceptance and Competence is enough to win the Saturday's Election. On his Entourage includes, Minister of State for Mines and Steel, Dr. Uche Ogah; Former Chief of Army Staff, General Azubuike Ihejirika; Former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chief Emeka Wogu; DG, Nigeria Film Corporation, Dr. Chidi Maduekwe and other APC Topshots in the State.
