What will happen to Emefiele by June after refusing to order banks to return old naira notes - Fani-Kayode

Godwin Emefiele, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), would be remembered in history as the person who only brought misery, suffering, and embarrassment to Nigerians throughout his time in that position, according to Femi Fani-Kayode(FFK), a senior member of the All Progressives Party (APC).

On Thursday night, Fani-Kayode said in a series of tweets posted via his Twitter account that Emefiele had tried everything to thwart the election of the President-elect and had also worked to undermine the APC and the nation. The CBN governor will be held accountable for his acts and will face punishment, according to the former minister of aviation.

But according to the APC leader, Emefiele will appear in court by June and answer for his own intolerable haughtiness, disrespect, and illegal actions.

Saying he said, Godwin "The Greed" Emefiele would be remembered in history as the person who only brought suffering, embarrassment, and misery to Nigerians throughout his despicable stint as governor of the Central Bank, the author said. He exerted every effort to thwart the President-elect and tried to derail and ruin the APC as well as our nation.

Whatever the case, by June all this mischief will come to an end and the water will level out. He will eventually pay a price for doing this and be brought to court. I don't understand whether he is seen as above the law in the current system. Who's defending him? How is it possible for him to disobey the DSS, reject their invitation, and get away with it?

Quoting further from his words, he said: "How can he disobey the Supreme Court and the Third Arm of Government and REFUSE to compel banks to return ALL the old notes they illegally took from our residents' possession and enable them to be used freely? What did he do with the old currencies worth 1.2 trillion naira that he took from Nigerians?".
