The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq claimed to have successfully exited batch A and B from the Npower scheme in June and July 2020 with five months unpaid stipend to over fourteen thousand beneficiaries.
It was counted on them that, they are already enlisted in the government payroll which was against the purpose of the program was created.
After many protests from the beneficiaries, the minister asked those affected to fill a form and to submit their bank statement.
The innocent ones among them did exactly what they were asked to do.
It could be recalled that Umar promised via her Twitter page sometime last year that those who were found innocent would be paid their stipends before the end of the year.
From that time until now is over three months and the due amount has not been paid.
It is as if the minister is no longer standing on her words. Exited volunteers don't longer believe the minister.
