According to him, he was invited not arrested. In a statement which was released by his spokesman, he said he only honored the invitation of EFCC.
He also said he was only invited over some of his activities while he was a Governor because after he left in May 2019, The then IMO state Governor Emeka Ihedioha wrote many petitions against him.
The EFCC found out that the Matter has been taken to the court already and he was only invited for clarification.
The statement also added that Okorocha honored the invitation of EFCC as a law abiding citizen that he is.
The statement says, “We have no reason to complain about the invitation of today, which Okorocha honoured as a patriotic and responsible Nigerian.”
“As we stated earlier, the Commission didn’t invite Okorocha today, for the first time.”
