During a recent live broadcast on Facebook, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo spoke about the court case of Nigeria's senator Ike Ekweremadu and that of his wife.

Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, "I honestly pray for family of our deputy senate president, senator Ike Ekweremadu. My hope now is for the federal government of Nigeria to bring us out of this public disgrace."
Speaking further, the Kalabari kingdom's chief said, "I sincerely pray that almighty God grants his daughter a good health. If we look at it well, it will be realized that what is happening to them is actually a sad thing. It is also a sad thing for many Nigerians and it is hoped that the federal government will act quickly about the case."
Earlier reports held that the speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has appealed that senator Ike Ekweremadu's case should be handled with mercy by the foreign judicial body.
