Akpabio vs Joy Nunieh: Wike Storms Joy Nunieh's Resident, Orders Police Out, Rescues Her

Rivers State Governor, Barrister Nyesome Wike today, visited the house of the former Managing director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joy Nunieh, to rescue her from the hands of police men after the place was surrounded, making it difficult for her to leave the house this morning.

It was gathered that Governor Wike forced entry into Nunieh's resident and ordered the police officers out of the premises, then drove off with her in his convoy.

Nigerians have reacted to the action of the governor as many saw it as a brave move while other think otherwise. Commenting on Facebook, some users say he is a trustworthy leader and won't be alive to see anyone molested or abused, hence his action. Read more reactions below:

"I have always loved this mans stubbornness but untill when he gets a good adviser not a chicken livered one a dogged one then he will be complete."

-Brown Harry -

"That's it. That's the rescue from the siege.

Am beginning to like the Wike guy.

Sounds like when Fayose rescued the besiged Apostle not too long ago.

- Franz Dickenson -

"She needs to be protected. I hope the looting going on in nddc will not be swept under the carpet. Let proper investigation be done."

-Hassan Aliu -

Recall that Joy Nunieh has been under fire from Godswill Akpabio who is currently the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs minister on issues ranging from corruption and insubordination.
