Rivers State Governor, Barrister Nyesome Wike today, visited the house of the former Managing director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joy Nunieh, to rescue her from the hands of police men after the place was surrounded, making it difficult for her to leave the house this morning.
It was gathered that Governor Wike forced entry into Nunieh's resident and ordered the police officers out of the premises, then drove off with her in his convoy.
Nigerians have reacted to the action of the governor as many saw it as a brave move while other think otherwise. Commenting on Facebook, some users say he is a trustworthy leader and won't be alive to see anyone molested or abused, hence his action. Read more reactions below:
