It's Unconstitutional For South To Insist On Presidency.

The Northern Governors’ Forum, NGF has said that the South’s insistence on producing the next president of Nigeria, con tradicts the provisions of the constitution. They stated their position after a meeting in Kaduna on Monday.

In a communique signed by the Governor of Plateau State and Chairman of the Forum, Simon Lalong, the governors said the position of their colleagues in the south is condemnable.

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River has identified free and fair elections as catalyst for national unity and antidote against voters apathy.

Ayade spoke while playing host to the new Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC in Cross River, Dr Cyril Omoregbe, in his office on Monday in Calabar.

However, the Governor urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to be wary of desperate lobbyists and politicians and not allow itself to be compromised.

Niger Governor Approves Reduction Of Fees For Students.

The Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello has approved a further reduction in the tuition fees for Students of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, IBBUL.

The governor made the disclosure in a statement issued by Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane in Minna.

He said the downward review only affects returning students (indigene) from N50,000 to N46,000 and new students (indigenes) from N95,000 to N86,000.
