A former senator that represents Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate, Shehu Sani recently took to his Facebook page to say politicians in Kaduna State have abandoned the issue of insecurity after the conclusion of party primaries. Shehu Sani said,
"The primaries are over;Kaduna politicians and aspirants have stopped talking about the killings and kidnappings; And the infamy continues."

Kaduna is one of of the worst hit State in Nigeria by the menace of banditry. Many people have been kidnapped in the State while houses have also been destroyed, not to talk of public infrastructures that have been deliberately destroyed by these bandits.

Before the party primaries were concluded in Kaduna, many politicians used the issue of banditry to campaign to their people. They proposed different solutions to the menace. But according to Shehu Sani, many of them have stopped doing so. This might be because it does not interest them anymore.
