There is no doubt that Gov. Kayode Fayemi is performing very well as the governor of the state. Apart from being the Chairman of the governors Forum, he has cordial relationship and has built a strong friendship with virtually all APC governors including President Muhammadu Buhari. Though there are some minor divisions and crisis in the Ekiti chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and if care is not taken it might cost them a lot.
The People Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State has been unsettled for many years now due to faction between the former governor of the State, Gov. Ayodele Fayose and Senator Abiodun Olujimi. The political problem seems to be difficult to solve as both faction have dragged each other to court.
With the current political crisis being faced by the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, it will be difficult for the party to wrestle power from Gov. Kayode Fayemi and the All Progressive Congress (APC) come 2022.
