Simon Ekpa, a Finland-based Nigerian, has been one of the figureheads in their agitation for Biafra Republic.

Before I say what Simon Ekpa has done that may put the IPOB leader into more trouble, below are the two new charges that the federal government is accusing Nnamdi Kanu of;
* Inciting violence against the Nigerian State through online broadcasts on Radio, Television and Social Media.
* Instigating violence in the South East region of the country which led to the loss of lives and properties of both civilians and security operatives in the region.

Going by the recent utterances of Simon Ekpa, Nnamdi Kanu may get into more trouble.
A report by Daily Post today, says Simon Ekpa threatened that IPOB will start visiting Igbo leaders who have refused to talk against the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu.
The report quoted him as saying "We will start visiting those that they’ve visited with offers in other to shut their mouth upon the abduction of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu".
Nnamdi Kanu is currently facing charges of inciting violence and his new appointee is making statements that translates to violence incitement, this may further compound his woes.
As long as it was Nnamdi Kanu who appointed him, the blame for every action he takes with regards to their Biafra struggle will be put on Nnamdi.
If Simon Ekpa and other IPOB members harm anybody, this will mean more trouble for Nnamdi Kanu.
Appointing someone to continue broadcasting on Radio Biafra while he is facing serious charges was unnecessary in the first place.
Nnamdi Kanu should think of getting himself out of trouble instead of creating more problems for himself.
He should warn Simon Ekpa not to put him into more trouble with unguided utterances.
