Buhari mourns ex-minister Alhassan, says she will be missed:

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) on Tuesday mourned with the people of Taraba State over the death of a former Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Aisha Alhassan.

In a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari said Alhassan’s death left a gaping void in Nigerian politics.

The President was represented by a delegation led by the Minister of State, Works and Housing, Abubakar Aliyu.

NSCDC deploys new technology to fight crime – CG

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), says it has developed new technology – Integrated Electronic Arrest Reporting System (I-EARS), for the collation of security data.

The NSCDC’s Commandant General (C-G), Mr Ahmed Audi, disclosed this in a statement by the corps’ spokesman, Mr Olusola Odumosu, on Wednesday in Abuja.

Popular Nigerian Rapper, Sound Sultan Diagnosed With Throat Cancer:

ANigerian rapper, Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan is currently battling with throat cancer in the United States of America.

SaharaReporters gathered that the artist has commenced chemotherapy in one of the hospitals in the country.

Chemotherapy is an aggressive form of chemical drug therapy meant to destroy rapidly growing cells in the body. It’s usually used to treat cancer, as cancer cells grow and divide faster than other cells.
