104 Year Old Woman Endorses Obi, Says He Will Transform Nigeria

A 104-year-old woman, Iyom Josephine Ezeanyaeche, has endorsed the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, to become president in Saturday’s election, saying they would make Nigeria an investment hub.
During her visit to the Management team of the Nigerian Television Authority, she expressed readiness to contest for the number one position if the younger generations of the country are not ready.
She was said to have received many awards for her contributions to humanity and nation-building, including the African Peace Award, 2021.
She joins a long list of individuals who have so far declared interest to run for the position in 2023. While declaring Obi as the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, she said he is qualified as the number one out of the four major contestants.
Ezeanyaeche said that Obi has a great opportunity to change the course of the country’s future for good. And he has the character, competence and capacity to look at his previous achievements and previous performances.

El-Rufai’s Free Food And Transport Are Part Of Vote Buying –PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party in Kaduna State has faulted the free food, free transport and medical services dangled before residents of the state by the state government as part of measures to cushion the effect of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s naira redesign policy.
According to the state secretary of the party, Alhaji Ibrahim Wusono, such gesture by the government amounts to vote-buying ahead of the 2023 general election.
The PDP scribe also said there was no rift in the party in the state, as according to him, all the party stalwarts were now united to unseat the APC government.
He appealed to the people of Kaduna to resist the tactics that is being currently introduce by the APC government by distributing food items to them just because they have failed.
AAU Workers Continue Protest, Dump Coffin At University Gate

Administrative and academic workers of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, on Wednesday, continued their protest in the university to express grievances over the non-payment of their salaries.
The protest had began on Monday, February 20, 2023. The workers also alleged maladministration, intimidation, and victimisation in the University by the Acting Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Sonnie Adagbonyin.
However, the protest took a different version as staff members dumped a coffin at the main gate of the university on the Benin-Auchi Road with various inscriptions.
The staff accused the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sonnie Adagbonyin; the acting Registrar, Mr. Ambrose Odiase; and a member of the Special Intervention Team, Mr. Austin Osakue for claiming that the institution is operating perfectly.
Several Rockets Fired From Gaza Into Israel

Several rockets were fired Thursday before dawn from the Gaza Strip towards Israel, according to the Israeli army and witnesses from the Palestinian side.
Six rockets were fired, the Israeli army said in a statement. Five were intercepted by its air defence system while one fell in an uninhabited area.
Witnesses on the Palestinian side told AFP they saw at least eight rockets fired. No casualties were reported by Israel’s emergency services immediately after the firing.
But the rockets triggered warning sirens in the cities of Sderot and Ashkelon, not far from the Gaza Strip, at around 4:00 am local time, the Israeli army said.
