2 Statements That Yahaya Bello Directed To Bola Ahmed Tinubu Over The 2023 Presidential Election.

In the news that we gathered today, the current Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has directed 2 statements to the National Leader of the Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, as the 2020 presidential election is getting closer day by day.

We need to recall that Yahaya Bello has shown his interest in running for the Presidential election in 2023, but the only thing that people believe may stop his ambition is that Bola Tinubu is also eyeing the post.

During his speech, according to the Daily Post, Yahaya Bello directed 2 statements to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that I would like to analyze in this article for better understanding.

It's time to allow youths to take over:

Yahaya Bello said, since the old and experienced people have been ruling the country since 1999, when we switched to the new constitution, it is time to allow the youths to take over because they can easily solve many of the problems that we are facing.

Yahaya Bello seems to make this statement to slow down the presidency ambitions of Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he sees Tinubu as a giant politician who may stop his presidential ambitions from coming to pass because of his popularity across the nation.

This statement also backed the advice that the former president of Nigeria, Ibrahim Babangida, gave to Nigerians not to allow an old man who is older than 60 years old to succeed President Buhari in 2023.

Nigeria is not a banana republic that 1 or 2 people will see as their personal properties:

Yahaya Bello made it known that Nigeria is for everybody, and we all have an equal right to do everything that we want to do. Tinubu has the right to run for the presidency in 2023, and he himself has the right to run.

Although Bello shows adequate respect for Tinubu in his speech, but he made the above statements to give himself confidence that this country is not anybody's property, and anybody can win the election because Nigerians are the ones that determined the person they wanted.

If it is all about the vote, Yahaya Bello believes that his ambition is likely to come to pass because most Nigerians are fed up with seeing an old man in Aso Rock.
