Activist Aisha Yesufu, have reacted to the decision that the Southern Governors tooks days ago, by banning Open Grazing in the Region. On Tuesday, the 17 Governors of the Southern Region held a meeting, and discussed about the Insecurity challenges that the south have been experiencing for while now. In that meeting, the southern Governors agreed to Ban Open Grazing within the 17 States in the region. They also called on the President to Restructure the country, and let him address the nation on the Insecurity that's facing the country.
After the Governors took that decision, a lot of Nigeria reacted differently to it. While some were in support of the law, and even advised the Governors to go Ahead and enforce it, others kicked against it. They felt that, the Governors don't have the right to enact a law like that. Activist Aisha Yesufu who has been away From social media for a while, finally reacted to the Issue. In her reaction via her verified Twitter handle, the mother of two expressed how happy she was with the decision that the southern Governors took.
She praised them and wished that, this will not be the last meeting that the Governors will have. Aisha said that, nobody has the monopoly of being self centred and intolerant. She added that, the same power that the Northern governors have in enacting laws is the same that the south Governors have. And if they continue like this, sooner than later we will have the Nigeria that we desire.
