Wildfires: Buhari Offers To Help Turkey.

President Muhammadu Buhari in a telephone conversation with Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan, has promised to help as the European country grapples with ravaging wildfires.

In a telephone call, the president sympathize with president Erdogan and the people of Turkey over the destruction wrought by the wildfires.

The wildfires has caused a lot of damages by ravaging vast territories including, houses, farmland, wildlife and human beings.

According to media aids of the president, Garba Shehu said, the president expressed his condolences for the destruction and the loss of lives by the wildfires, the president of Nigeria also prayed for the quick recovery of the injured

“I wish to express the solidarity of the government and people of Nigeria with the government and people of Turkey at this critical trying time,” Mr Buhari was quoted to have said in the statement.

He added, ”I offer the readiness of Nigeria to extend its modest support in any manner that may be required by Turkey.”

President Buhari has praised the president of Turkey for the proactive measures by Turkish emergency teams and the exemplary leadership of Mr Erdogan in handling the disaster even though there have been widespread criticisms of the Turkish government’s to tackle the fires; he also promised Mr Erdogan of the country’s commitment to sustained progress in its bilateral relations with Turkey.
