NB: The writer of this article is apolitical as he is neither a PDP or an APC supporter.
As election draws near, there have been a call on the two major political parties in Edo State, the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who will be contesting the September 19 governorship election to ensure that the voting process is peaceful and devoid of blood sharing.
As both political parties pray that their candidate excel in the field, a viral video had been circulating online which allegedly accused APC of vote buying. The video was posted on Facebook by Edo Updates, accusing APC of engaging in impunity.
In the video, a lady was seen putting a cap on with the inscription POI, which stands for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, who happens to be the APC flag bearer in the forthcoming election scheduled to hold this Saturday.
The lady who was seated was checking a register to see if the names of the women who stood around her were there.
What the women did was to show the lady sitting their voters card while they collect one Ankara.
This caused on uproar with angry PDP supporters throwing shades at the APC for engaging in vote buying.
Even as we gradually wait for Saturday to come please let us remember the it is not a do or die affair. The youths on their own should not allow anyone to manipulate them on that day.
God chooses leaders and whoever wins should be God's choice.
