The rate of insecurity in Kaduna state have been a major worry to most Nigerians in the northern region of the country. The level of kidnapping of school children and people , killing of innocent citizens of the state by bandits have been a major concern to many stakeholders in the country and to many investors who have interest to invest in the state.
However, Governor El rufai of Kaduna state have addressed the issue of insecurity in his state.
There are two major statement he made to clear off some miss understanding concerning the insurgency that is happening in Kaduna state.

1. He said there is a major difference between security in headlines and security in facts.
He addressed the issue of how some media houses makes people believe everywhere in kaduna state is insecure. He said when an incident occurs in one part of the state, remotely connected with what is happening in Kaduna or Zaria or in the metropolitan centres, people think the entire Kaduna state is unsafe.
He also revealed to the public the number of policemen to cover the large area of Kaduna state is not enough which is also one of the things affecting the fight against insurgency.

2. He also noted that Kaduna is facing security challenges but people who have invested in the state should be aware that their investment in the state will not be tempered with.
Governor El rufai acknowledged the state is having issues of insurgency but every investor should be rest assured their assets are safe.

Concerning tackling insecurity in the country, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya, has solicited the help of the Russian government to support Nigeria with sophisticated equipment to improve security in the country.
