Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, described the former governor of the State of Osun, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, as a reliable and truthful person with a rare capacity for leadership.
Governor Akeredolu noted that Prince Oyinlola, who served as governor of Lagos State and later governor of Osun State, had served his country meritoriously.
The governor said that Oyinlola, as a former governor of the state of Lagos, did a great service not only to Lagos but also to Nigeria, as Lagos remains the mainstay of the country.
Governor Akeredolu spoke at the Thanksgiving Service on the 70th anniversary of Prince Oyinlola at the Anglican Memorial of Oba Moses Oyinlola, Okuku, State of Osun, on Saturday 6 February 2021.
He said, "For us, Prince Oyinlola is one of our great leaders, and we all have respect for him. He's very cheerful and welcoming, and that's a great attribute for me. It's a great thing for all of us to celebrate him for me.
"As a general, we respect you all. We know your exploit in the army. I want to say hello to you and celebrate you today. 70 is a great thing, especially in Nigeria at this time.
