Information has it that the gubernatorial poll is sheduled to hold on November 6.
Babagana Monguno, National Security Adviser to the President, disclosed the President's order on Thursday while speaking with State House correspondents.
Buhari gave this order during a meeting he had at the presidential villa with the country's service chiefs.
''President Buhari has ordered that under no circumstances should anything be allowed to stop the Anambra gubernatorial poll from holding. The people should not be denied their rights to vote and select their leader.
''No one or group will be allowed to arouse anarchy and crisis, which could disrupt the exercise.
''Buhari has made it clear that the Nation's security agencies should make sure that the elections happen, even if it means inundating the state with security operatives.
''There are tendencies for elections to be disrupted by non-state actors. Firstly, we are in a democracy era. Secondly, it is sacrosanct to know that if these non-state actors succeeded in disrupting the process of orderly elections, other parts of the country would also want to replicate the same thing,'' Monguno explained.
