With the 2023 Presidential election approaching, there are some People's Democratic Party (PDP) leaders that may likely dump the party for another party. This is due to the problems rocking the Party in their different states. It's no longer news that the People's Democratic Party is having series of issues including internal wranglings and even at the federal level.
The party executives have been working tooth and nail to make sure they settle these issues with the party unscathed. PDP is one strong opposition party and they have proven to be competent over the years in the settlement of disputes but this time the problem they are facing night lead to party defections.
With all these in play, we have come up with two prominent politicians that might dump PDP anytime soon for another party before the 2023 election.
Rt. Hon Chief Sir Emeka Ihedioha who is a Nigerian politician and Businessman has always been a strong follower of PDP, but, his commitment has been questioned.
Ihedioha is the immediate former Governor of Imo State and also former Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives. Sometime last year, social media news platforms were alleging plans by His Excellency, Emeka Ihedioha, CON, and some prominent leaders of the great party to decamp to the All Progressives Congress.
Although the Imo state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Wednesday stated that past governor, Emeka Ihedioha, was not intending to vacate the PDP, to join the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The statement was issued by the state Publicity Secretary, of the PDP, Ogubundu Nwadike, to news reporters in Owerri.
With his loyalty questioned last year, we could say that the Politician might just defect in the wake of the crisis going on in the party to gain more POLITICAL RELEVANCE.
A former Secretary to the Government of Imo State Uche Onyeagocha is another politician who might not be able to stand the test of time. He might dump the party for another party in no distant time.
It's important to note that Mr. Onyeagocha, was a former member of the governing All Progressives Congress. He moved to the People's Democratic Party when they were in power and now that they're no longer in power he might move again. He is always a politician who is with the winning team.
