With the 2023 Lagos State governorship election slated to hold on the 11th of March 2023, the present Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-olu has said he is passionate about the people of Lagos.

The All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain made the statement via his official Twitter handle. Below is a screenshot of the post he made on his verified Twitter handle.

Sanwo-olu who made the statement at a time of rising tensions regarding his re-election as Governor added that he remains committed to creating a better future for all residents of the state.
However, with the rising popularity of political parties such as the Labour Party and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, the governorship election may be very well contested between the three political parties, i.e APC, PDP and Labour Party.
