Niger Delta Militants Threaten To Attack Abuja, Lagos.

Niger-Delta militants, who had dropped their guns for over five years, have resurfaced and threatened to pick it up again and attack Lagos and Abuja.

Both cities are the commercial and administrative nerve of the country.

Explosion Rocks Maiduguri.

Several people were feared killled on Tuesday evening as result of the heavy explosion and gun duel between Boko Haram insurgents and security operatives in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

It is not clear the casualty at the moment but reports indicated the insurgents tried to launch an attack on University of Maiduguri from the northeast behind the military trench which is behind the university.

President Muhammadu Buhari has reaffirmed the resolve of his administration to realise its plan to lift 100m Nigerians out of poverty, stating that it was conceived out of deliberate intents.

The President made the reaffirmation on Tuesday during a meeting with the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC) at the State House in Abuja.

Uzodinma Finally Speaks On Why He Is ‘Fighting’ Okorocha

The Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma on Tuesday in Abuja declared that there was nothing personal in the disagreement between him and his predecessor, Senator Rochas Okorocha.

The Governor who spoke shortly after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa noted that his government was only implementing the recommendations of a committee set up by a former governor, Emeka Ihedioha.
