Corp members pay courtesy visit to sokoto state governor

On the 13th day of may 2021, equivalent to 1st of the month of Shawwal 1442 of the Islamic calendar, serving corp members of the NYSC scheme in sokoto state paid a courtesy visit to the executive governor of sokoto state, his excellency Rt. Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (CFR, Matawallen Sokoto), to commemorate the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations. A corp member named Emmanuela spoke on behalf of the corpers relating the purpose of the visit, which was to join the good people of sokoto state to mark the sallah celebration.

The Governor upon receiving the public address system was met with cheers from the assembled corp members in one accord saying "Sai Matawallen". He expressed his delight and gratitude at such a timely visit. The former speaker, commend all corp members for accepting to serve in sokoto state despite worries expressed by family and friends in view of banditry, kidnappings and the Ironical friendly weather, present in the North. He charged them to join hands as the good ones to fight out evil and the bad ones to build "One Nigeria". His excellency advised the youths to shun all acts against constituted authority ranging from banditry through drug and human trafficking down to Internet fraud (Yahoo Yahoo).

In a speech made by the Governor, he said "We must take our country by ourselves and show the rest of the world, that Nigeria by the grace of God has come to stay. Nigeria is not a mistake and together we shall make it work. Nigeria is not an experiment, it is the pride of every black person in the world. In his concluding the remarks, the Governor stressed the need for "One Nigeria" which is the goal of every true Nigerian. The corp members in their number were given the invariant "Goron Sallah" package to celebrate with, at their respective places of primary assignment.
