The news that circulated online on Wednesday over President Muhammadu Buhari's plan to declare a state of emergency in Anambra State, which was disclosed by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, had been nullified by the President, while Governor Willie Obiano said that he knew that such threat was not Buhari's idea.

Mr Willie Obiano, who is the Governor of the state and one of the loyal friend of President Buhari, after hearing the controversial state-of-emergency news, moved to Abuja yesterday to meet the president so as to throw more light on the matter, when he was approached by State House Correspondents after a brief meeting with Mr Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

In reacting to Malami's state-of-emergency threatening statement yesterday, Governor Willie Obiano described the threat as quite unfortunate, therefore, wondering why Presidency had not kicked on declaring a state of emergency in the Northern States that are going through massive killings and all sorts of banditry activities.
